Pelican Marsh Golf Club Recognized for Environmental Excellence

Pelican Marsh Golf Club maintains and recently received re-certification as a designated “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, an Audubon International program. Certification is awarded to golf courses that maintain a high degree of environmental quality in a number of areas, including Environmental Planning, Wildlife & Habitat Management, Outreach and Education, Chemical Use Reductions and Safety, Water Conservation, and Water Quality Management.

“The club has shown a strong commitment to its environmental program. They are to be commended for their efforts to provide a sanctuary for wildlife on the golf course property,” said Jim Sluiter, staff ecologist at Audubon International. Pelican Marsh is one of 112 courses in Florida and 721 courses in the United States to receive the honor.

The golf course was first designated as a certified Sanctuary in 2001. After designation, courses go through a recertification process every three years. Pelican Marsh and its dedicated staff continue to manage and protect water quality and wildlife habitat on the property as part of an ongoing commitment to the environment.

Pelican Marsh Golf Club Membership Fees

The Pelican Marsh Golf Club offers a variety of membership options. You can choose between an equity and non-equity golf membership, a social membership with limited golf, and an annual dining membership. These costs are subject to change, but here are Pelican Marsh’s Golf Club membership fees:

• Equity golf membership: Initiation fee of $65,000 and annual dues of $14,200
• Non-equity golf membership: Initiation fee of $45,000 and annual dues of $14,200
• Social membership with limited golf (equity membership): Annual dues: varies.
• Annual dining membership, dues varies.

• Fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, onsite fitness trainers and exercise programs.

• Social program that plans many activities such as shopping, sports events, and concert trips to suit the interests of the residents.

• Pelican Marsh also has a Golf Club which boasts an 18-hole championship golf course — named one of the top three courses for the 2000 and 2001 Senior PGA Tour. The course has generous landing areas, and gently contoured Tif Eagle greens.
